for an Internet bank, Alliance & Leicester provides fast and easy access
to your accounts anytime, day or night, from anywhere in the world. All
you need is access to the Internet and to get online.
Before the introduction of Internet and automated Telephone Banking, customers
had to visit their local high street branch in order to access their money,
set up standing orders, or apply for a loan. While this arrangement is perfect
for many people, those customers unable to visit their local branch during
opening times are left with limited access to their money and account details.
Using the Alliance & Leicester Internet Banking service enables you
to access your accounts securely and at your leisure, giving you the freedom
to choose when and where you do your banking.
To be eligible for the Alliance & Leicester Internet Banking service
you only need to have either a current
account or savings
account. In most cases, your account will be registered automatically,
but if not, it couldn’t be easier to register. All you have to do
is access the Internet
Banking section of our website and follow the simple instructions on
screen.
Once you are registered we will post your individual Customer ID to you,
followed shortly by your unique Customer PIN. When you first log in you
will be asked to change your Customer PIN to one of your choosing and set
up a Password for additional security.
Simply get online and you can:
- Check your balance
- Pay bills
- Transfer money between your Alliance & Leicester current account and savings account
- View transactions (up to 9 months) and print or download your statements
- View and cancel Direct Debits
- Set up, amend and cancel standing orders
- Make requests for overdraft increases, card PIN reminders and other useful services
- Use the Quick transfer facility - an easier way to make a one-off payment/transfer to someone you have paid before
